Summer re-cap

Summer is almost over! School starts Monday. I guess we have to go back so we can get to another summer. We have had an awesome summer. We have taken a couple trips, had some visitors, and just enjoyed our time with Charlie. He had his 15 month check up, he's 33.5 inches tall and 26 lbs 10 oz. The nurse said if he keeps growing like he is, he will be taller than Thomas (early to tell, I know, we won't plan our retirement on the NBA yet). Here's some pictures of the last part of summer:
Silly, silly boy!

Our little Spurs (and Mavs) fan is getting big

First time at the beach- Port Aransas

Texas State Aquarium- Corpus Chirsti
Eating burgers at Bob Hall Pier- the best burgers ever (well, behind the Chicken or Chicken Oil in College Station- they're still the best)
Sweet Boy!
1st band-aid-
that weekend he skinned both knees, an elbow and hit his forehead on the pool...and it begins
Evan and Michele visited for the day. We missed you Graham! The boys had a good time together. See you guys soon.
Grandma has taught Charlie so much- Thanks!
Science Place in Dallas- Thanks Nana (how does that sound, Mom?)
This morning Thomas got up with Charlie and he insisted on wearing his shoes with his PJs. Then I got up and he wanted to brush his teeth while talking on his calculator "phone." Time is flying but we are having so much fun.

Summertime!!!

The upside of teaching is definitely the summer. Thomas and I have loved the past couple weeks we have spent home with Charlie. We've done some visiting, had some visitors and are enjoying the summer.

Great Uncle Jack and Aunt Mary visiting from California. It was good to see them and had a good time with them here.

Playing with the Wii Fit. Charlie tries to mimic exercises while we do them. It's really cute!

Swimming in the big pool. In the second picture he really looks like a Daniel baby.

Thomas was going to give Charlie a bath and Charlie came running out with his shirt like this. We laughed pretty hard...

Grandma Daniel and I were planting and Charlie participated too. He apparently likes to eat dirt. A little dirt never hurt!
The same night Charlie swept the kitchen for at least 40 minutes. He would scream when the sweeper would get stuck on a chair and then he would keep on sweeping.

Keep enjoying the summer, I know we will!

Gettting Better at the Walking Thing

Charlie's getting there. Honestly I'm not in a big rush because I know we will be running all over the house when he really starts.

Not Walking for an Audience

This was taken a couple weeks ago when Charlie was taking a step or two. We thought we would show him off to my parents but he had different plans (don't they always!). He has such a great personality!

9 months already!?!?!

Last night Thomas and I were talking about how time has flown. It seems like yesterday we were planning a wedding and then trying to find pants to fit my growning belly and now Charlie is 9 months!

Charlie had a big weekend, he has mastered the pull-up. He tries everywhere, the exersaucer, activity bar, couch, Mom, Dad, etc. He is so proud of himself and we are too.

Here's some pictures from the last couple of months. We update the pictures on Snapfish more than we do here, so if it's been a while here check out Charlie's group (there's a link to the left). There is an updated Spurs watch Charlie grow picture.

Talking With Santa

Okay, so it's been a little while since the last post. Time kinda flew by once basketball started. Anyway, we took Charlie to go see Santa today. He seemed to really enjoy it. He didn't seem to mind waiting a little bit to see Santa as long as he had his chew toy in his mouth.

It only took him a couple of seconds to relax once he got on Santa's lap. They seemed to get along pretty quickly. After Charlie posed for the pictures he didn't waste any time in getting down to business. He let Santa know what all he wanted for Christmas. We tried as best we could afterwards to get him to tell us what he told Santa, but he wasn't talking.

We hope ya'll have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Teeth!

I have been trying to take a picture of Charlie's first teeth and finally got one by accident while he was playing.

Happy 30th Birthday, Thomas!

Thomas chose Charlie's outfit for his Birthday (I was okay with his choice because you only turn 30 once and Charlie is still too young to know better)

RSV season

It's that time of year especially around the Winkler's. Fun times with nebulizers, humidifiers and staying home from day care! Charlie is doing well though, still playing, talking and laughing. He was so helpful during his treatment:

Shopping Cart

We went to Target yesterday to get Charlie a new convertible car seat (he is quickly reaching the 22 lb limit way before his 1st birthday) and put him in the shopping cart. He is not quite as sturdy as we would like for him to sit up on his own so we decided to help him out. My Mom suggested paper towels but found something that worked just as well.

2 months flew by

How do you make up 2 months of missing posts. I can't believe we have not posted anything in 2 months. I am so sorry! (Thomas is but isn't showing it). We'll keep the words to a minimum and pics to the maximum.

1st time in exersaucer (he knew exactly what to do)
Sept 4, 2008

1st Rice Cereal. He wasn't so sure at first but got the hang of it.

We were both wearing red that day so we thought it would be a good time to take some pictures.

9/19/08

Posing for his 4 month pictures. I don't think he can get much cuter than this.

Here's his Halloween costume. He's the smallest Weatherford Kangaroo, Go Roos!

The Skaggs' came to visit. 2 of the 3 were happy to see us. Samantha did warm up and proceeded to toddler proof our house. It was good to see you guys!

Thomas and Charlie are up to the same activities, playing and napping...

1st bananas, yummy!!

A little walk down memory lane.... This was at the end of July

And back in his Bumbo seat for his 5 month pictures....and time to put the Bumbo up until the next kid.

Here's one for the Maverick's fans

Playing with Dad

This is the toy cell phone that Charlie got from his grandmother that plays music everytime it moves (or is tapped, touched or looked at). It is a good thing Charlie loves to play with it otherwise it would have been passed along to another lucky child a while ago.

This is Charlie today in his exersaucer with all of his other toys lined up around him. It only took 2 minutes for him to chew on every single one and throw it across the room.

We're all doing great, hopefully it won't be 2 months before our next update. If it is, keep checking the snapfish link on the left, we update that site more than this.
